COMPETITION RULES AND REGULATIONS
Competitions will be held in accordance with the latest Rules of the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF). In accordance with IWF By-Laws 2.1.4, IWF Technology and Information System (TIS) is used in this Olympic Qualification Event and 20Kg/15Kg rules will be applied in all competitions.

Participants must accept the accommodation offered by the Organizing Committee. Those making their own arrangements independently cannot be granted accreditation and Championships-related services.
TRAINING AND COMPETITION VENUES
Training and competitions for all groups will be held at Ishikawa Sports Center.

ENTRIES
Preliminary Entry Forms must be submitted to the Organizing Committee and the Asian Weightlifting Federation (AWF) before 20 February 2008.
Final Entry Forms must be submitted to the Organizing Committee and the AWF before 20 March 2008.
ELIGIBILITY TO ENTRIES
Only National Weightlifting Federations/Associations affiliated to the AWF are eligible to participate in the Championships.
AWARDS
Gold, silver, bronze medals will be awarded to the first three winners in the snatch, clean & Jerk and total in each bodyweight category for both womenfs and Menfs events.
Certificates will be presented to all the participants.
Trophies will be awarded to the best six teams for both menfs and womenfs competitions in accordance with the stipulation of team ranking of the IWF.
BARBELL
UESAKA Barbells will be used for both menfs and womenfs competitions.
DOPING CONTROL
Doping Controls will be conducted according to the IWF Anti-Doping Policy.
FINANCIAL CONDITIONS
The financial conditions for the participants are:
Double room;USD100.00 per person per day with three meals
Single room;USD140.00 per person per day with three meals
Entry fees;USD130.00 per person
Special Anti Doping Fund to the AWF;USD50.00 per athlete
All payment must be paid in US dollars to the Organizing Committee upon their arrival to the Accreditation Center situated at the Hotel.
Residence of minimum 4 days is required for all participants.
TECHNICAL OFFICIALS
The Juries, Referees, Technical Controllers and Doctors-on-Duty will be appointed by AWF. The Organizing Committee will cover the expenses (board and lodging) of the above officials during the competition in accordance with AWF Constitution 18.8.3.
TRANSPORTATION
All participants will be received at Komatsu Airport and will be ferried by bus to the hotels where they will be accommodated. There are direct flights between Komatsu and Shanghai China, Inchon Korea or Tokyo-Narita Japan. If there is any help needed, please contact the Organizing Committee.
The Organizing Committee will provide transportation from the Hotels to and from the training and competition sites and official programs.
INSURANCE
According to the IWF By-Laws, national Federations/Associations must undertake full moral and financial responsibility for their delegates, as well as for their health in case of accidents or damages.
REGISTRATION AND ACCREDITATION
The registration of accreditation process will start upon each teamfs arrival.
VISA
Entry visa to Japan could be obtained from the Japanese Embassy in the respective countries by presenting the Official Invitation for the said Championships. If there is any help needed, please contact the Organizing Committee. A complete list of names with passport data and Fax number or Mailing address should be sent in time to the Organizing Committee for the issuance of invitation.
FLAG AND ANTHEM
Each participating team is kindly requested to bring a CD or tape (cassette) of their National Anthem and two National Flags 1.0~1.5m. These must be submitted upon arrival/accreditation.
